We have a pretty simple goal here at Current Music: we want to exceed your expectations and rock your world. We politely refer to it as “blowing your face off.” It’s just another day at the office for us, whether that means an 11th-hour trip to Japan to take the bullet train with Mos Def, trying to get Lykke Li to articulate the crazy buzz of being onstage, or letting Death Cab For Cutie’s Nick Harmer take our photo.
Right now we’re busy making a new half-hour prime-time show — the only one of its kind on all your 5,700 channels — and we want you to be the first to get the goods. Find out which cutting-edge artists we’ll be embedded with, watch exclusive outtakes and sneak peeks and mock us as we endure the trials and tribulations of simply getting someone we need on the phone. Then tell us whose music is making you dance in your cube, and where we should go to find it. (Oh yeah, we’re going to be putting a bunch of you on TV, too, and making big changes to Current.com/music to give you what you want most as a music fan — music.)
You can still follow us on Twitter but be sure to come back here for all the ideas way too big and awesome to fit in 140 characters. I’m your online guide to all things Current Music, and you can hit me up at shana@current.com whenever you want.
