Over the next few weeks, as more and more bizarre rumors about Michael Jackson being bald, ball-less, and Anna Nicolish come out, lets not forget that there are still some legendary musicians alive and well who are still doing amazing things on stage. No, this isn’t about the BET awards. Those were almost as disappointing as Michael’s death.
Over the weekend, in London, Neil Young shocked fans by bringing Paul McCartney out on stage for a duet on “A Day in the Life.” It was pretty amazing, and thank God someone got a good tape of it, because this video finally proves, if Paul and Neil can’t do it, it’s clearly impossible for two grown men to share one microphone and look cool singing this song together.
So for just one moment, put aside your guilt driven empathy for a man you mercilessly mocked for the past 10 years, and enjoy one of the best songs of the past 40 years, performed by two of the greatest living musicians.
