Silversun Pickups aren’t the only artist on Current Music Presents: Embedded who has crossed our path before.
Last year, Swedish singer Lykke Li guest hosted the Daily Fix, our now-defunct, then-daily music show:
Now she’s back for Embedded’s Tour Stop segment. The daily grind of a life on the road often leaves traveling musicians with odd little pockets of time in cities they’ve never before visited and may never see again. But most people still have a little routine—they track down an art museum, take photographs, seek out the world’s most perfect cup of coffee. Lykke Li likes to scour through thrift stores like an archaeologist, trying to divine what a town’s citizens must have been like based on what clothes they left behind.
Here’s a little tease of our shopping trip with her as she searched for something to wear to a show in San Francisco that night:
