Current TV is re-airing Embedded, a six-part music special that gives you intimate, exclusive access to artists, and here at the blog we’re packing in everything you need to know about each section of each show into one handy post. On this special hour-long episode, Mos Def takes us on an all access seven-day tour of Japan while he performs his new album “The Ecstatic” to packed venues in Tokyo and Osaka.

In part 4, Mos Def goes inside the epicenter of Sumo wrestling culture at Osaka’s Prefectural Gymnasium, catching a heated match. Backstage before a concert, Mos explains the origins of his elaborate mask, inspired by MF Doom, and even reveals how Julianne Moore inspired him. Mos performs “Boogie Man” live.
